Kickstarter is definitely viable for game funding but I do think it’s in a bubble right now. People are willing to throw their money at anything because they’ve never been given the opportunity to do so before. I’ve backed some stuff (MN9, Shantae, Project Eternity, Skullgirls PC) because I trusted the people behind it, but I still never dropped cash I would be tragically upset at losing on anything.
Within the next 2 years, when a lot of these games are supposed to start hitting, we’re going to see a high profile train wreck. Something with a huge amount of money simply never coming out, or being so pathetic and terrible it’s beyond defense, or being outright broken, that is pops the bubble and kills off this trend of things with a decent piece of art and a dream getting 500% of their funding goal.
My money, right now, is on the big trainwreck to pop the bubble being the Double Fine Adventure.
now I have the base working, the others should be faster to draw~

She went on a cookie diet.
I found the cookieverse, guys. It’s in the qwubble of a down quark of a proton of a helium atom of a hellstarr in a star cluster in an arm of a galaxy of a supercluster of the universe.
Edit: Yes, I understand the basics of how Nested works, and that there’s no guaruntee of anything showing up in a specific fashion. But I wanted to see how quickly I could find a cookieverse by clicking. It was the second element I checked.
